Poland Signs K2PL Domestic Production Agreement with Hyundai Rotem
Polish state defense firm Bumar-Łabędy signed an agreement with Hyundai Rotem on April 29 defining the division of work and payments for domestic K2PL tank production under the 2025 second-batch contract (180 K2 tanks, 81 support vehicles). Bumar-Łabędy will assemble 61 K2PL tanks and 72 support vehicles at its Gliwice plant, with the first K2PL rolling off the line in 2028 — the first domestically produced tank in Poland since the PT-91M Twardy in 2009. Three additional subsystem agreements were signed with WZE and PCO for navigation and camera systems.
