Poland K2 Black Panther Second Implementation Contract

Hyundai Rotem sealed a record KRW 9 trillion second implementation contract with Poland for additional K2 tanks, including development of a Polish-specification K2PL variant and construction of an assembly plant in Poland. Largest single contract in Korean defense export history. Deliveries began on August 25-26, 2026, when the first 28 K2GF tanks under the contract arrived in Poland and were assigned to the 16th Mechanized Division on NATO's eastern flank, bringing Poland's operational K2 fleet to 208. The remaining K2GF units continue arriving through 2027, with 64 Polish-configured K2PL vehicles (61 assembled in Poland) due 2028-2030.
