Poland summit defense cooperation Lee Jae-myung Donald Tusk K2 K9
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk visited Seoul — the first bilateral visit by a Polish PM in 27 years — meeting President Lee Jae-myung on April 13. The two leaders upgraded bilateral ties to a "comprehensive strategic partnership" with defense cooperation at its center. Tusk called South Korea Poland's "most important ally after the United States, especially in the defence industry." Discussions focused on expanding the $44.2B framework agreement signed in 2022 beyond arms sales to include joint production, technology transfers, and training.
