South Korea's Ministry of National Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense signed a letter of intent on drone and counter-drone cooperation, establishing a joint supply chain and shared standards for allied drone systems. The agreement covers reconnaissance drones, FPV strike systems, loitering munitions, and counter-UAS weapons. The two sides will pursue a common standard for small drone batteries and register Korean products on a U.S. drone and counter-drone online trading platform to be unveiled by year-end.
