Hanwha-WB joint venture to break ground November 4 on Poland first tactical rocket plant in Gorzów Wielkopolski
Hanwha WB Advanced Systems, the joint venture in which Hanwha Aerospace holds 51 percent and WB Group 49 percent, will hold the groundbreaking for the first tactical rocket production plant in Poland on November 4, 2026 in Gorzów Wielkopolski, WB Group spokesman Remigiusz Wilk said, adding that all preparatory work is complete. The plant executes the 14 billion zloty contract, about 4.7 trillion won including VAT, signed with the Polish Armament Agency in December 2025 for more than 10,000 CGR-080 80 km guided rockets, the basic effector of the Homar-K licensed Chunmoo launcher, with Polish-made deliveries starting in 2030; Poland is also introducing the 290 km CGR-290. The investment is put at more than 1 billion zloty, and Rzeczpospolita reports it could rise to 1.5 billion zloty. Site preparation on 116 hectares near the Territorial Defence barracks began on July 2, 2026, and local authorities expect construction to finish by the second quarter of 2028 with first assembly in 2029. Poland has ordered 290 Chunmoo launchers in total, 218 in 2022 and 72 in 2024.
