2025 | ROK Navy Fleet Command
The lead ship ROKS Chungnam (FFG-826) was commissioned in 2024 and completed initial operational capability evaluation in 2025. During combined ROK Navy fleet exercises, the frigate demonstrated multi-domain warfare capability including anti-submarine warfare with towed array sonar, surface engagement with SSM-700K Haeseong anti-ship missiles, and air defense coordination within the ROK Navy task force.
