KF-21 Boramae Receives Initial Type Certification from DAPA
DAPA granted initial type certification to the KF-21 Boramae on June 15, described as the government's "final official recognition" of the aircraft's flight safety. The fighter met all 745 inspection requirements across 14 airworthiness categories including aircraft structure, weapons integration, and electronic systems. With formal system development concluding in June 2026, KAI is on track to deliver the first production KF-21 to the ROKAF in September 2026.
