DAPA Holds Defense Offset Event — Korean SMEs Target Global Supply Chains
The Defense Acquisition Program Administration held the two-day 2026 Defense Offset Industry Cooperation Event on July 2–3 at the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul, jointly organized with the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement (KRIT). The event aimed to help smaller Korean defense companies secure long-term positions in the supply chains of major global contractors — moving beyond complete weapons system exports toward deeper integration into international defense industrial networks. The initiative reflects Korea's strategy to expand its defense export ecosystem beyond the Big Four firms.
